What Do We Talk About When We Talk About Race and the Arts - Continued

The Program Directors of the Lewis Center for the Arts invite you to participate in an ongoing conversation regarding race and the arts on Princeton’s campus.

At our initial conversation in December, the focus was on listening to student voices. And as always, we remain interested in the stories and observations that relate to your experience as student artists, observers, scholars and citizens. We now want to expand the conversation to include a consideration of specific actions students and faculty can take to make the arts communities on campus more welcoming and inclusive. How can student arts organizations and the Lewis Center work more closely and effectively together? What can individual students, staff and faculty do?

We encourage all Princeton University students, faculty and staff interested in engaging in this discussion to join us for the second in a series of events on the topic of race and the arts. The discussion begins on Monday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Marie and Edward Matthews ’53 Acting Studio at 185 Nassau Street. This event is free but RSVP is required (more details coming soon).

Open only to Princeton University sudents, faculty and staff.
